Sherif started his career in Cairo Egypt, as a web developer and quality engineer at Link Development. His digital marketing journey started later on in Connect Ads – one of EMEA’s largest ad networks – with offices in Cairo, Dubai, Istanbul, Casablanca, and others. As a member of the account management team, Sherif was managing display, social, and search campaigns for clients such as PepsiCo, Microsoft, P&G, Kia Motors and others.
Sherif Moved to London in 2012 to pursue a master’s degree in digital marketing from the London School of Business and Finance, and later start a career in one of the most advanced markets in the world. After graduation he worked client side at Orange Group as a Digital Marketing Consultant for web and user journey optimization for Orange in Senegal, France, and the Dominican Republic. In 2014, Sherif joined Teradata, one of the world’s biggest data warehousing and analytics companies, as a Strategic Account Manager. In a tech company, Sherif was able to utilize his tech and media skill set, and create marketing efficiencies through tech integrations for key clients as such as Hotels.com, Amazon, Sainsbury’s and Western Union.
Sherif finally joined Maxus (part of GroupM) in 2015 as a Tech Director for the UK, which is the company’s headquarters. Together with the tech team, Sherif is responsible for all marketing tech strategy and integration for all UK clients such as BT, Barclays Group, Fiat, and L’Oreal. He is also a leading member of the Maxus Global Tech Consultancy, which is a collaborative effort between the Maxus tech and data minds globally. The initiative allows Sherif to work across EMEA in different capacities and help local markets with their tech strategies.
Outside of work, Sherif lives in central London with his wife and is a keen traveler and a big football and squash fan. Very competitive, with a habit of challenging the norm.
